Guest Contribution: How do You Get a Magnetic Personality?

I used to be a very shy and quiet person. I hated to attend many activities because I didn’t know how to socialize with people around me. I hated the awkward moments when I ran out of topics with the person I talking to. I hated being alone in the function, when everyone else was chilling around. Even so, I have an ambitious dream – I want to be an entrepreneur.

I could still remember that my friends jaw dropped when I told them about my ambition – which at that time didn’t match with my personality. “Who says shy and quiet people can’t run a business? As long as my business doesn’t need to deal with people, I can definitely attain my goal!” I said proudly to my friends. Soon after that though, a phenomenal friend came to me and told me, “Every business needs to deal with people. Your school cannot run without students. Walmart will go bankrupt if no one is buying from them! If you really want to do business, you should change your personality!” I was stunned for a second, as my friend’s poignant points have brought me out of my stupor.

Since my friend made a good point, I resolved to make a good decision – change my personality. Hence, I asked my friend about the way to achieve it. Gratefully, he told me three vital points that have not only changed my personality, but also have further enhanced my life quality. He said, “Firstly, you need to spend time reading because every book has its own wisdom; Secondly, you need to listen to CDs that will help to program your mind to think positively (as most of the things around you carry negativities); Thirdly, you need to attend activities. Activities are great places for you to have fun and take action to associate and learn new things from others.” As Woody Allen once said, 90% of life is showing up.

Obviously, these three points have impacted on my life. Now, you can see wisdoms coming out from my mouth whenever I associate with new people. Making new friends is no longer an unattainable goal because I read, I listen and I go. I believe in the near future, I can build my business kingdom successfully with my magnetic personality.
