Have you been trying to lose weight? Have you tried fad diets, or weight loss pills? Have none of these worked for you? Well, I’m here to let you know about a very simple strategy for losing weight!
EAT LESS
Yes, I know it sounds simple but most people seem to not “get” this concept. In fact, some people actually expect to find a diet where they can gorge themselves on good tasting, high calorie food and still lose weight. If you’re one of these people, you’ll need to learn moderation, dedication, and discipline if you want to diet successfully – thankfully these are all hallmarks of a healthy and good life.
So what is a strategy to do this? Well, chances are if you’ve been overeating your stomach is a good bit larger than it should be. See, it’s like a sack that can stretch ever so slightly . You know times like Thanksgiving, when you get that stuffed feeling, where you absolutely can’t eat a bite more? Well, when you get that feeling, your stomach stretches and grows just a little to prepare for more meals of that size. The downside to this is that when your stomach reaches a certain level of emptiness, it sends a signal to your brain, and you feel hungry. If you stomach is bigger, you get hungry that much faster and have to eat more, more often.
To reverse this process you have to shrink your stomach. And to do this you have to regularly eat just enough so that you are not hungry – when you are hungry you metabolism is altered, and more calories are stored as fat. If you want to expedite this process, you can always try fasting – though I don’t recommend both fasting and exercising. It’s an option to consider, but in all cases be sure to stay well hydrated! Drink lots of water instead of other drinks and you will feel better and be healthier too!
